Bangladesh vs Sri Lanaka ODI Series 2021: Bangladesh Squad
Bangladesh has announced their preliminary squad for the upcoming Sri Lanka series. Ipl has been cancelled due to increasing the scare of covid-19 in the bio bubble. As a result, both Shakib Al Hasan and Mustfzur Rahman have returned home and will be available for the ODI series.
So far, Shakib Al Hasan has made some valiant extraordinary performance with the bat in the number three position in ODI. However, the cricket board decided to give the opportunity to Nazmul Shanto and Soumya Sarker in the last two series. As they both failed to live up to expectation Bangladesh cricket board is thinking to give the position back to Shakib.
Rubel Hossain continues to retain his spot in the team, even though he did not make any meaningful contribution in recent years.

Bangladesh probable XI for the first ODI against Sri Lanka
1 Tamim Iqbal(C)
Tamim is the captain of the team and one of the most experienced players of the unit. As usual, he will open the innings.
2. Liton Das
Liton Das is running through very lean patches currently in the ODI format. However, the selector might give him one more chance to open.
3.Shakib Al Hasan
Cricket Board want to play safe. As sources, Shakib Al Hasan will return as number three for the Bangladesh cricket team.
4. Musfiqur Rahim (WK)
His performance behind the wicket is under the scanner for a while. But he is the wicket-keeper and dependable middle-order batsmen of the Bangladesh team is the truth.
5. Mohammad Mithun
Mohammad Mithun has done well in New Zealand. So selectors will go with the in-form batsman for this position.

Silent Killer will be ready to return for the team after the New Zealand series.

10.Taskin Ahmed
